This phrase was the beginning of an interesting story lasting for half a century. Thus,
Kyiv got several cult places, and we got the work of a lifetime. The woman's name is Rose,
and we are her family, the Rose Family.
Today, the Rose Family brand encompasses 4 restaurants, healthy street food facilities,
catering and corporate customer service. And this is just the beginning!
Today, all members of the Rose Family not only share family values, but they are also
directly involved in managing the business.
Even Yuki and Chapuki, the pugs, have their own eponymous restaurant, where they bring to
life their cult of healthy, hearty and very affordable food.

She got a job at "Odesa" restaurant, which was constructed shortly before the 1980 Olympics.
Having been promoted to the restaurant manager, she realised that nothing is impossible, because

Rose, the founder of the dynasty, moved to Kyiv with her husband who was an army officer.
She was never afraid to start from scratch and always impressed everyone with her
confidence. This helped her to build a career and finally get the position of director of
"Odesa" café. At that time, it was a huge restaurant with the first pizza in the capital
(which looked more like buns) and a foreign currency bar.

On the site of "Odesa”, Rose and her American partners launched two innovative
restaurants: Boston Burgers, which was the first burger in Kyiv, and "Loyal Odesa"
(“Evening Odesa" from Arabic). Even at those times you could smoke hookah there. At this
period, Rose's daughter Natalia joined the business. She worked as an administrator and
studied restaurant management.

On the site of “Loyal Odesa”, they later opened a restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine
"Hatynka", which had existed for 25 years until 2021. If you haven't tasted the signature
borscht and Kiev Chicken, you've missed a lot in this life!

"Odesa Mama" was opened on the site of Boston Burgers. Because the roots always take over.
By the way, Mykhailo Zhvanetskyi, whom Rose met at his concert in the Palace "Ukraine",
visited the place a few times. She arranged to be seen to his dressing room, and when she
saw him, she just said: "Hello. I am Rose." Mykhailo Zhvanetskyi was a little confused and
replied: "I see." Since that time, they became good friends and met not just once when
Zhvanetsky had concerts in Ukraine.

"Odesa has changed its formats and names a few times. It was home to the first burger even
prior to McDonald’s, a fast food bistro, and an oriental hookah restaurant before it came
into fashion.
Once I went on vacation in May, as I returned, I saw ruins and bare walls instead of the
restaurant. Nearby, there was happy and smiling Rose: "Well, daughter, you wanted a new
restaurant - now it's time to build it!". This was the starting point of the modern history
of Odesa restaurant."
Family business is an integral part of my life.
I am really happy here.

"I have an honours degree in Law, and Rose really dreamed of my becoming a notary public.
But what a bore! Therefore, I "granted" Rose with my diploma and got a job at the Hyatt
Hotel to gain experience. There I experienced three priceless years of a difficult and
interesting journey from waitress to administration. It was at the Hyatt that I adopted the
high international standards which we now implement in our restaurants.
We have been building Spicy NoSpicy together with my mother. And during this time, I thought
more than once that I would leave my family or perhaps return to the notary path. But this
is what always happens when you work with strong personalities and the best specialists."

Thus, in the summer 2021, the French café "Being Sofie" appeared on the territory of “Sophia
of Kyiv” National Conservation Area. For our guests, two summer terraces for having rest after
sightseeing was a real love at first sight, and we are happy to outperform expectations.
